Motorcycle maker Victory is replacing its Kingpin bike with the classically-styled 2013 Victory Boardwalk.
The Boardwalk, a bike drawn with clean, smooth lines, has the looks it needs to compete, at least on paper, with the Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe. Its tires are fat, whitewalled and mounted on 60-spoke chrome wheels. Fired by the Freedom 106/6 V-Twin, 1731cc, air/oil cooled engine, the Boardwalk is more powerful than the equivalent Harley-Davidson. The Victory states that it produces 113 feet-pound of torque, while the Harley-Davidson Twin can only claim 98.7
Though it is a large bike, the Boardwalk is an easy ride due to its short wheelbase, widely spread handle bars and 16-inch wheels. The base Boardwalk starts at $15,500.
